Anashakti Ashram, where Gandhiji spent a few days, is open for public. It
is a historic monument of sorts where one can view Gandhi history and his
ways of living. Again, the view of the Himalayan range is just spectacular
from here. The Baijnath temple located at 22 kms from Kausani is a must visit
for the religious minded. The temple architecture, combined with the serene
backdrop can be a soothing balm to the soul. There is no local market as such.
A few shops are clustered in an area called the Mall road.
